A Norwegian ambassador to Thailand is found in one Bangboek brothel. She has a knife in her back and pedophile porosity in her briefcase. It is imperative to prevent a political scandal, so drunken Harry Hole gets on board with a supply of vitamin B12 to play a useful idiot. His task is to resolve the case, but to minimize the mixing of the matter. However, Harry does not allow himself to be manipulated into such a role, so he, along with his Thai colleague, starts an investigation right after arriving in Bangkok. Soon it turns out that this is not just one random murder - there is something abounding behind the walls and screaming. Something that can't bear the daylight. As with previous “sticks”, the excellent Hynek Čermák, awarded with the Audiobook of the Year Award 2013 as the Interpret of the Year, once again took the story.
